Long before landing my dream job as an ecommerce reporter, I used Amazon to discover new beauty products and to find deals on ones I already loved. After experimenting with hoards of products over several years, I’ve perfected and simplified my routine to save time, effort, and money, narrowing my go-tos down to just a few hero items.

In my years of testing, I’ve learned a few shopping insights—for instance, that higher prices don’t always equal higher quality or effectiveness. I’ve also discovered that Amazon truly has some of the best deals around, even beating my local drugstore. Plus, restocking my favorites is fast with Prime shipping and super simple on the Amazon app, which saves my purchases and makes the entire shopping experience last only a couple of minutes.

And when it comes to my beauty routine, I’ve discovered a slew of anti-aging skincare goodies that my acne-prone skin loves, professional-quality hair care that has revived my damaged tresses, and other must-haves that have earned this Amazon fan’s stamp of approval. Get your cart ready because I know you’re going to love them—and their affordable price points—too.

Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment

My dermatologist first introduced me to this multi-purpose balm about 10 years ago, and I’ve been using it almost daily ever since (especially during the winter months) to soothe chapped lips, dry cuticles, and patches of eczema. It’s so moisturizing, I’ll often skip lipstick and just slather this on to give my natural lip color a little extra shine.?

L’Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara

This is hands down my favorite mascara—beating out even more expensive department store brands. I love its volumizing formula, its skinny brush (which makes it easy to coat the inner and outer corners), and of course, its inexpensive price point. And I’m not the only one—over 2,300 Amazon shoppers gave it a five-star review.?

To buy: $8 (was $10);

CeraVe Night Cream for Face

If I could only use one skincare brand for the rest of my life, it would be this line recommended to me by my dermatologist. Almost everything from CeraVe is non-comedogenic, affordably priced, and formulated by doctors—so you know it’s got to be good! This super rich, but not too heavy, night cream is my absolute favorite and leaves me with smoother, softer, less irritated skin by morning (no exaggeration!). I also love the brand’s hydrating hyaluronic acid face serum and versatile daily moisturizing lotion, which I apply all over daily.?

To buy: $14 (was $22);

OGX Thick and Full Biotin and Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner

After a particularly stressful few months—and a little too much time with the hot tools—left my hair fried and thinner than usual, my hairdresser recommended that I try this brand (his favorite!) to rehab my hair. Hoping I could get my thick mane back, I tried this sulfate-free “thick and full” formula, and my strands were softer and shinier after just one wash. With a few more months of use, my hair grew back thicker and with less breakage.??

To buy: $28;

Biore Charcoal Nose Strips

I use these weekly to get rid of blackheads and all that extra gunk hiding in my skin and let me tell you, there’s nothing more satisfying than ripping one of these off and seeing the instantly clearer skin and smaller pores left behind.?

To buy: $14 (was $15);

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo, which actually cleans strands and smells amazing, is in a league of its own. Once I tried it, I could never go back to the cheaper, less-effective varieties I was using before. It doesn’t leave a white, powdery residue behind and actually adds gorgeous volume while it cleans.?

To buy: $24;

CeraVe Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid

If you’re ready to hop on the vitamin C bandwagon, but don’t want to shell out big bucks, this dermatologist-formulated is the way to go. Just like sunscreen, I use this serum daily—and don’t leave the house without it on. With 10 percent vitamin C and a slew of hydrating ingredients in its formula, it’s gentle but effective at neutralizing free radicals from pollution that damage and age skin over time. With a few months of use, I’ve also noticed my complexion brighten and my acne scars fade.?

To buy: $20 (was $22);

EcoTools Precision Blush Brush

Affordable, super soft, versatile, and sustainably made, there’s so much to love about EcoTools’ many brushes, but I especially love this multi-use one that I use every day to apply powder foundation, blush, and bronzer.?

To buy: $5 (was $8);

Kopari Aluminum-Free Coconut Oil Deodorant

Made with coconut oil and coconut water, this aluminum-free deodorant is naturally moisturizing, gentle on my sensitive skin, and anti-bacterial, meaning it actually works and keeps body odor at bay—sans chemicals or worrisome aluminum. While I still prefer my go-to antiperspirant for tough workouts, I use this for just about everything else. And since it’s sold out five times before, be sure to get it (and a few tubes while you’re at it) while you can.?

To buy: $14;

Honeybee Gardens Nude Renaissance Refillable Eye Shadow Palette

I discovered this gorgeous, refillable palette while researching all-natural beauty brands and it’s been my go-to ever since. The shadows included feature everything I need—neutrals, lights, and darks, plus mattes and shimmery shades—in just one palette. And since each shadow pops out, you can easily refill a color or two when you run out of your go-tos.?

To buy: $40;

Supergoop! Fusion Mint Lip Balm SPF 30

After my dermatologist recently told me about the frightening number of patients that come in with dry, cracked, and sun-damaged lips (and are left with no options except painful resurfacing procedures), I made sun protection a priority and now apply this SPF 30 balm to my lips every morning and throughout the day.

To buy: $10;

Rene Furterer Style Vegetal Texture Spray

A quick spritz of this spray gives limp hair gorgeous body and texture—plus it smells amazing. I’ll use this to freshen up strands before heading out (in conjunction with my favorite dry shampoo—see above!) or on freshly washed hair that needs a little va va voom.?
